Stabat Mater. Pergolesi
13th audition. Stabat Mater is a latin expression that means "The Mother stood". It´s a religious melody that describes the suffering of The Virgin Mary while her son Christ was dying.
Composed for two female voices (Soprane and Mezzosoprane) with a group of string instruments. Pergolesi wrote this work in 1736, so it belongs to late-Baroque age
